FRANCIS CROWLEY Obituary

CROWLEY, Francis M. 87 years old, of Dedham, MA passed away peacefully, on October 29, 2023, surrounded by his family. Born in Boston, MA, Francis was the son of Julia (O'Toole) Crowley and John J. Crowley. Francis was a graduate of Hyde Park High School, class of 1953, where he was a gifted athlete. Francis earned an Associate's Degree from Newbury Junior College. After proudly serving in the United States Army, he was honorably discharged. He then began a long and successful career at the MBTA and retired in 1988. Francis enjoyed a wonderful retirement with his wife Sally. He was an active member of both the Dedham, MA and North Palm Beach, Florida communities. Accompanied by his wife, he traveled extensively and made friends wherever he went. Francis was a gentleman of both great stature and heart. Francis is survived by his loving wife, Sally (Armour) Crowley. Together they nurtured a marriage of 65 years. Francis was a dedicated father and friend to three sons, James Crowley of Marshfield, MA, the late John Crowley and his wife, Susan of Port St. Lucie, FL and William Crowley and his wife, Sara of Walpole, MA. Francis was blessed with eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, all of whom were the pride of his life. Francis instilled love, honor and faith in his children and grandchildren. He also was a brother to the late Peggy Crowley of Hyde Park, MA and the late John Crowley of Foxboro, MA; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. A Visitation for friends and family will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at St. Anne Parish, 90 W. Milton Street, READVILLE, MA. A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 AM. Interment will be held privately through Gillooly Funeral Home in NORWOOD, MA. Francis was a man of unwavering faith.
