Dear Tommy,
I remember Jeannie and Moe at 1467 Tremont St. babysitting for Carol, Robby, and me. I always remember her funny little giggle, and her way of always making me feel "grown up". One night, Jeannie and Moe were babysitting and of course, as soon as Kay and Tom left to go out, they lit up their cigarettes, and were immediately grownups. I just loved the way Jeannie taught me to dance to the stack of Motown records she carried in a little square box. We used to have so much fun back then. Jeannie, Annie, Kay, Moe, and Pops would sit in the kitchen on Jamacia Street and talk, laugh, and talk some more. Of course, I was there with them (sitting on the stool near the stove) and would just hang on every word Jeannie and Moe said. They always included me whenever they talked about boys. Jeannie would let me wear her makeup, and would fix my hair in a French twist. Then I remember when she began dating you--she was head over heels in love with you. The first time I saw you with Jeannie I couldn't believe how "cute" you were. Those were the days!! I will forever remember Jeannie from the days of my childhood on Mission Hill and Jamaica Plain. And, I will miss her. Tommy, I can only imagine the pain you are feeling over the loss of your beloved Jeannie. I just know Annie and Pops have her in their arms, hugging her. God Bless you and your family. Linda
