Nancy,
I did not know Joe but am a good friend of Jamie and know how difficult this moment is for both you and him. I thought of last year when your younger sister passed away and a group of Jamie's friends attended her wake. This just adds another family tragedy to the year and you have my deepest sympathy. Your family is special to many of us who know Jamie and even play golf with him occasionally. I join with all his friends in wishing you and your children the peace of knowing what a great life Joe had and how many people were touched by him in so many ways.
In sadness and sorrow but in celebration of a life well lived,
Kent Swanson

Nancy, Katherine, and Jay we were so sad to hear of Joe's passing. It has been over forty years since Joe and I joined the fraternity at Framingham state. We became good friends and enjoyed playing soccer together during the very early years of men's soccer at FSC. Joe always liked to be in charge and eventually became president of the fraternity. We were married the same year to strong women who helped keep us in line. We bought houses and started a family around the same time and our close friendship became long distance. We both celebrated our 40th anniversary this past summer and it seemed that our families took up much of our time. We were very different, but were both dedicated to becoming a loyal husband and a good father. Joe was a good friend and KAPPA brother and I cherish the memories we had togetherWish we had more time together. May his spirit never die!
Love you guys
Zuff and Denise

Heartbroken to know you, your smile and your laugh are gone. You "took me in" right away and we always laughed and solved the problems of the world. Rest well Joe.

Memories of great times at the `steps` on Bridge St., Collins cove wall and a junkie ford falcon flood back. Chief Squire at our weekly meeting at the Knights, he reigned over bedlam with delight. The best man at my wedding, God bless you dear friend.
