Julius Levy

In New York City, peacefully at age 93. Husband of the late Jane Levy. Beloved father of Fredrick J. Levy and his wife, Kathy Gruber of NYC, and Douglas J. Levy and his wife, Margo Heller-Levy of Newton, MA. Adoring grandfather of Jennifer, Andres, Jonathan and Nathaniel. Jules, along with his law partners, pioneered stockholder derivative, class action lawsuits and developed a renowned law practice at Pomerantz, Levy, Haudek and Block. Jules argued before the U.S. Supreme Court twice and treasured a note from Justice Frankfurter. Jules will be remembered for his incredible intellectual conversations and reasoned approach to any problem, personal or political. Funeral arrangements were private through Riverside Memorial Chapel in NYC.
