KENNETH WHITNEY Obituary

WHITNEY, Kenneth L. 89, died peacefully on Saturday, January 11, 2015 at the Life Care Center of Attleboro. He was the husband of the late Jane (Ferguson) Whitney. Ken grew up in Mason City, Iowa before spending most his adult life in Brookline, where he was a long time participant in the Brookline recreational softball league, playing well into his sixties. A World War II veteran, Ken was a member of the Masonic Lodge for over 50 years, serving as a Master and Trustee. After moving to Attleboro, Ken was active in the Attleboro Elks. He is survived by his sister, Shirley Ingersoll of Clear Lake Iowa, his daughter Barbara and husband Phil Samson of Attleboro, his daughter Evelyn and husband Dave Barbo of Yarmouthport, grandsons Steven Barbo, Matthew Barbo, Brendon Barbo, Corey Barbo, granddaughter Jennifer Samson and great granddaughter Brynn Barbo. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Attleboro Elks #1014, 887 S. Main St., Attleboro, MA 02703. dyer-lakefuneralhome.com

So sorry to hear of your dad's passing. He and my dad were good friends, especially through Beth-horon Lodge. I remember both of your parents, at many of the Lodge gatherings. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.
