SISTER MARIE THERESE KEOUGH CSJ

Sister Marie Therese Keough, CSJ (Sister Helena Marie) In her 74th year as a beloved member of the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Boston, died Thursday, September 7, 2023. Devoted daughter of the late Howard J. and Helene (Sullivan) Keough, and beloved sister of the late Agnes Martinello. Sister Marie is survived by her cherished niece, Ann Marie Lenson, her nephews, Gary, Paul and Michael Martinello along with many grandnephews, and her Sisters in the Congregation. Formerly missioned as a teacher at St. Joseph School, Quincy; St. Paul School, Cambridge; St. Catherine School, Norwood; Gate of Heaven School, South Boston; St. Anthony School, Allston; St. Mary High School, Brookline; and Our Lady Help of Christians High School, Newton. Sister Marie was one of the three pioneering leaders at Bridge Over Troubled Waters, Inc. in Boston where she served as social minister and financial coordinator for over 30 years. Visiting hours at Holy Family Chapel, Sisters of St. Joseph Motherhouse, 631 Cambridge Street, Brighton, MA, Tuesday, September 12, 2023, 9:15 to 10:00 a.m. Prayer Service at 10:00 a.m. followed by the Funeral Mass and Prayers of Final Commendation at the Motherhouse at 10:15 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery, 180 Pond Street, Natick, MA.
