MARTHA ALLEN Obituary

ALLEN, Martha G. (Bruening) Of Wellesley, February 20, 2023. Beloved wife of the late George Lee Allen. Loving mother of Heike L. Allen and her husband, Wesley Overson of San Francisco, CA, Jill N. Allen and her husband, Kenneth Graves of Wellesley, Kirsten H. Allen of Wellesley, and Jessica J. Allen of Wellesley. Grandmother of Wyatt, Miranda, Owen, and Colin. Sister of the late Anni Ketteler. Martha was a graduate of Interpreter College in Muenster, Germany, where she learned English, French, and Spanish. In her work with an American engineering firm, she met her husband and married then moved to the United States. She was a devoted wife, mother, and deeply appreciated for her fine cooking, warm hospitality, her beautiful handknit sweaters, and her unrivaled generosity. A Memorial Service will be held at the Unitarian Universalist Society of Wellesley Hills, 309 Washington St., Wellesley Hills, on Wednesday, March 1, at 1:00 pm. Relatives and friends kindly invited.
