NANCY JANE MURPHY

1942 - 2022

MURPHY, Nancy Jane Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on September 22. Nancy was born to John and Helen Murray on June 29, 1942. She is survived by her loving husband, Frank Murphy; her devoted sister Pat Abbott and her husband William Abbott; and three of her children, Debbie Ravener of Naples, FL, Terri Ladka and her husband Tom of Scituate, MA, and Karen Cox and her husband Ken of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, and her three stepchildren, Kathy, Brian, and Shaun. Mom is now at peace with her daughter, Patty Anne. Nancy was proudly from South Boston, MA and raised her family in Abington. Once retired, she made her home in Boynton Beach, FL, and her cherished Falmouth, MA. After devoting herself to raising her four daughters, Nancy had a distinguished career at the Massachusetts State Lottery. Family was everything to Nancy, and she was happiest when surrounded by loved ones, including her grandchildren, William, Cassandra, Ryan, Janessa, Tom, Kellsey, Troy, Timmy, Connor, and Jack; and great-grandchildren, Liam, Charlotte, and Jenessis. Nancy's family included her beloved group of friends whom she danced with, cried with, traveled with, told many stories of their younger days, and most of all, loved each other unconditionally. Nancy's kindness, caring, positivity, and unlimited devotion to her family and friends will be missed deeply by all who had the privilege of knowing her. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, October 24th at 10 am at St. Anthony's Church, 167 E. Falmouth Hwy., East Falmouth, MA 02536, followed by a luncheon at a location to be disclosed later.
