NAOMI SMALL

SMALL, Naomi (Newman) Passed peacefully, on Monday morning, with her family present She lived a full life, just shy of 97 years. She was the last of a generation, our strong matriarch. She was married for over 50 years to the late Melvin Small. She was a mother to five children, Jane (John) Devecis, the late Ronna Kaplan and her husband, Ed, Debra Small (Robert Schaeffer), Howard (Diane) Small and Joseph (Judy) Small. She was grandmother to 11 and great-grandmother to 13. She was born in Malden, MA and graduated from Sargent College (BU) with a degree in Physical Education She was a formidable woman who put family first and foremost. We enjoyed many years of family vacations, dinners and gatherings. She will be greatly missed. Graveside Services will be held at the Bnai Brith Cemetery, Route 128N (between Route 114 and Endicott St Exits), Peabody, on Wednesday, July 26, at 11:00 AM.
