Patricia M. Lang

Wife of Herbert C. Lang of Norfolk, died peacefully in her sleep on Feb. 19, 2006. Born in Norwood to Emily and Bud Cashen. Pat attended St. Catherine's and Norwood High School and graduated from the Cambridge School of Nursing. She started her nursing career as a school nurse at St. Catherine's but worked nearly 30 years at Norwood Hospital (or 1,000 years as Pat would say). She was predeceased by her brother Bob. Besides her husband Pat is survived by her sister Lynn of Walpole and her five children: Shawn of W. Hartford, CT; Heidi Cronin of Norfolk; Gretchen of Ft. Lauderdale; Tiger of Bennington, VT and Tricia Barry of Wrentham. She has 9 grandchildren: Sarah, Jonathan and Patrick Cronin of Norfolk; Cassidy, Hailey, Trey and Zoe Lang of Bennington, VT; Corbett Lang of W. Hartford, CT and Skyler Barry of Wrentham. She is also survived by many loving relatives and friends including the Norfolk Gang and her nursing friends from her days at Norwood Hospital. No one loved a party or a family gathering more than Pat. Her love of mystery novels, dancing and cooking for a crowd are legendary. We will all miss her more than we know. In lieu of flowers, friends are invited to make a donation to Norfolk Library Friends, 139 Main St., Norfolk, MA 02056. Wake will be held at Delaney's Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole on Tuesday, February 21st, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, February 22 at 10 a.m. in St. Jude's Church, Norfolk. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
