I´m sorry to hear of Paul´s passing. We have been great friends since we met at Holy Cross playing on the freshman basketball team. He was easygoing and always available to talk with when you needed him. Best wishes, Buddy. I´m going to miss you a ton. Prayers and best wishes to your family.

Sincere condolences to the Kerns family. Some of my fondest high school memories included baseball and basketball games with Paul and Bob Anderson and pizzas with Paul, John Fitzpatrick and Bob Toto. Paul was special.

Paul was a great friend and classmate at Holy Cross. We roomed together junior and senior year at HC. As we were both involved in varsity sports, Paul helped with keeping everything on an even keel with his calm and supportive demeanor. We have remained close friends throughout the years with Paul and his family and his passing effects us deeply..

My deepest condolences to you and your family. I knew Paul from my Sacred Heart days. Then, later in life when he was practicing law. Paul was a gifted athlete, scholar, and gentleman. A true professional in every sense of the word. I'm sure he was the same as a husband and father. God bless him!

I´m a Holy Cross classmate of Paul, and since learning of Paul´s passing several of my classmates and I have been sharing memories of Paul. Paul is remembered with deep affection and respect. I played on the HC Freshman basketball team and with Paul he was a superb teammate. He worked hard and contributed so much to making that a memorable and enjoyable experience. While we were in law school, Paul organized a team to play in a league in Newton. He was our player/coach as we won the league championship in 2 of 3 years. He was always great company and set a high example in favor of kindness and generosity. Paul was a special man, and I was privileged to know him. Please accept my condolences.

I worked across the hall from Paul for more than 30 years at his Newton Centre, MA law office. Paul was one of the kindest people I have ever known. Paul had a great sense of humor and would always make you laugh. Most importantly, he always completely listened to what you had to say before offering suggestions, advice or encouragement. He always had a dish of candy on his desk and would say, "would you like some candy little girl?" My heartfelt sympathy and condolences to his entire family.

I met Paul in 1980 when I graduated Law School. We became friends and I would see him regularly in Court.
I was his assistant for years with the City of Waltham Girls Town Basketball
League and still have the championship trophies
I have many happy memories of Paul who was a Great Human Being....we were blessed with his presence all these years and he will be missed...

Dearest Mickey, Molly, Jen, Maggie and your families. What a joy it has been for me to get to know your Dad through my friendship with Mickey, enhanced by Ali and Jens lifelong bond forged through youth sports .From frosty Saturday mornings at Graverson with our Dunkin's to YBA at Kennedy with coach Kerns, to Paul and me the only 2 parents watching HS soccer practice at Leary Field, Paul was a guiding, encouraging light for his girls and the children of Waltham . We shall miss him dearly.
