Paul always had a smile and a story to engage your attention. He was always willing to spend time with you and especially if he could share his thoughts and encouragement with young people. He touched many lives.

Mrs Murphy (Peg) and family,
Mr Murph was a wonderful, bright, humorous and loving man.
I grew up around the corner from the Murphs ( 41 Amory St ); Mr Murph was one of, if not the best friend of my uncle, Pat Herlihy, and did his eulogy on the Cape years ago.Occaisionally, when returning to Mass. to see family i would try and stop by their home either in Cambridge or the Cape... great memories of a fine man (and woman mrs murph) who will be surely missed. Our sincerest condolonces.---Pat Murphy and family (Jill, Jen ,Erin & Amy) of Parkland, Fl

To Mrs. Murphy and Family,
It is a sad day for those of us who graduated from Rindge Technical School and were able to have our lives changed for the better due to Mr. Paul Murphy. I owe many accomplishments in my life to the help Mr. Murphy provided in showing me the path to college. Without his help I doubt if I would have been accepted into three prestigious colleges when I graduated from Rindge in 1972. He followed my career with great interest and I enjoyed seeing him at the Rindge Alumni reunions. I will miss him and will always remember what he did for me.

Mr. Murphy was my homeroom teacher at Rindge from 1962-1966 and my freshman English teacher. He was on my "mentor" list. His words of wisdom and guidance had a very deep impact on my life and my expectations and I'm sure many of his students would say the same. Thank you Mr. Murphy!!!

To the Murphy Family...my thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time. I got to know Paul & Peg through a prior job. After realizing I, too, was a St. Michael's graduate Paul became a mentor and friend. We even shared a reunion one year and bumped into each other on campus! Paul was a lovely man with a terrific sense of humor - always ready with a story and a smile. He was devoted to Peg and his entire family and spoke so highly of each one of you. He will certainly be missed, but never forgotten.
