Dear Florence
How sad I am to learn that Ray passed away. I know he struggled for a long time. No matter how sick or how long, it is difficult to part with a loved one.

I just read the obituary which was published in The Mirror so did not write sooner. I am wintering in Florida hence the delay.

Ray was always fun while we counted money at St. Joseph's Church on Sunday mornings. He will be missed by a host of friends.

May it comfort you to know that both you and Ray will be in my most caring thoughts and prayers.

Most sincerely, Helyn Carr

Dear Florence...Just heard of Ray's passing from Jack Wolfram. I am so very sorry. What a special person he was, and how lucky to have shared your life with someone that loved music and all the arts as you did. I remember visiting your home and sharing the joy of his talent. Such fun!
Wayne and I are now living in Savannah, Ga. near our two daughters. We still keep a place in Columbus because our son, Jim, is there with wife and 3 girls. I hope that your grandchildren live close to you; they are such joys. We have 5 little grandsons here in Savannah. Keep well, Florence. Your are such a special person.

Florence, my dear high school friend, married Ray. When I visited Maumee, their home became my second home, full of laughter, memories, and warm friendship. The two of them together, Ray and Florence, gave unselfishly of their time, talents, and home to all of us lucky enough to know them. Ray will be sorely missed; my love and sympathy to Florence , John, Mary and family.
