WALTON, Robert E. Of Chelmsford, formerly of Lexington, died peacefully surrounded by his children and grandchildren, June 9, 2009. Husband of Marie T. Walton (MacKay). Father of Robert F. Walton and his wife Karen of Chelmsford, Charles A. Walton and his wife Patricia of Lexington, David J. Walton and his wife Gail of Concord, Sandra Bevis and her husband Walter of Burlington, James J. Walton and his wife Nancy of Burlington, Elizabeth Lawhorn and her husband Ben of Sudbury, Marie Ellen Walton of Bedford, and Mary St. George and her husband Albert of Billerica. Bob is also survived by 17 grandchildren. Retired Lieutenant Lexington Fire Department. A funeral service will be held Fri. June 12 at the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd. Lexington at 10am. Relatives and friends kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours Thurs. 4-8 PM. Donations in his memory may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701.
