I have only just learned of Sid's passing.

Back in the days of SDA on Newbury Street(1968) he was a boss, a mentor and a wonderful friend. Justifiably proud of his own Naval service, Sid supported my decision to enlist at a time when this was not the popular thing for a BU grad to do. While I was in Vietnam, he would send me company updates, ensuring that I stayed "in the loop" half the world away.

Wishing you fair wind and a following sea, Captain.

I was so very sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Dimond, he was quite the gentleman whenever he came into our office, always passing out candy and entertaining us with his wonderful stories and telling us how very lucky he was to be married to such a wonderful woman for so many years, he will be sorely missed.
My heart goes out to Mrs. Dimond and her family,
With my deepest sympathy

Sid was a great man. I almost went to work for him in the sixties; I did some freelance work with him and always found him cordial.

I was one of Sid's students when I attended Boston University in the late 50's.
He was a great teacher and inspiration to me and so many others.
He is one of the main reasons that I decided to enter the world of broadcasting.
I always enjoyed seeing him at our Media Gang events where we would share old stories.
Thank you Sid...may you rest in peace dear friend.
