So upset and sad to hear of Karen. I remember her, fondly. We were in the same graduating class at Our Lady Of Nazareth.
We were usually among the last ones picked for basketball or some other physical education sport. No matter as we both maintained our trim figures throughout the years.
(Karen's picture shows the same young girl that I remember!).
When Karen got her contact lenses she was so proud and happy to have them. Unfortunately, one came off before a class. No matter how frantically we searched we could not find it. When the sister arrived to teach our class she informed us to stop searching for the contact lense and proceed directly to her class!
The last time that we met was at Our Lady of Nazareth for a 1 year anniversary from our graduation........it was just Karen, myself and two others!
I moved to New York City then to England, and have now returned to this area.
I feel so sad that I did not make the effort to keep in touch with Karen. However, I see that she had so many , many others who loved her so very much.
Blessings.

We are several of Karen's co-workers at the animal shelter where she volunteered. We want to express our sympathies and condolences to Karen's family. She was a joy to work with and we all will deeply miss her.
