Katrina Willis Obituary

WILLIS Katrina Aine, 46 of Tewksbury, MA, formerly of Buffalo Mills, PA and Martinsburg, WV, passed away on Tuesday June 16, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her parents, Fred and Janet (Lehman) Willis of Buffalo Mills, PA; her longtime partner, Paul Lussier Jr. of Tewksbury, MA and his family; brother, Michael Willis of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, half-brother, Justin Harbert of Hagerstown, MD; sister, Lisa Lambert of Martinsburg, WV, maternal grandfather, Sherman Lehman of Buffalo Mills, and many aunts, uncles, cousin, nieces and nephews. She was also a loyal friend to many. Katrina was a graduate of Martinsburg High, West Virginia University and the Massachusetts School of Law in 2013 where she earned her Juris Doctorate. She spent many years in the construction industry as a safety supervisor for various companies and was proud to have been part of large projects such as MWRA project at Deer Island and the “Big Dig.” She was most currently employed as a Senior Risk Management Consultant at Meadowbrook Insurance Co., Andover, MA. All who knew her would agree that she was always taking on new ventures and setting new goals for her life’s path. In her free time she enjoyed spending time in the lakes region of New Hampshire, boating and motorcycling. She made jewelry, did yardwork, oil painting, was a movie extra for several films and volunteered at The F.A.R.M. in Tewksbury, a therapeutic facility for people with varying disabilities. Most important was the time spent with her family and friends and her beloved pets. She shared her love of life and laughter with everyone she met. Heaven is now a better place because she is there. Friends will be received at the Christ Lutheran Church., 7319 Hyndman Rd., Buffalo Mills, PA on Monday from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00 9:00 P.M. A funeral service will be conducted at the Church on Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. with the Rev. Ryan K. Viands officiating. Burial will follow at Lybarger Cemetery, Buffalo Mills, PA. A memorial service in Massachusetts will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Bedford County Humane Society 1108 Lutzville Rd., Everett, PA 15537 or Stongwater Farm, 500 Livingston St., Tewksbury, MA 01876. Paul, you are in my prayers. How Blessed I was to have Katrina for a friend. She truly is one in a million. Her personality lit up my life. She is one of the best people I will ever know. We did not have one conversation where we both were not laughing hysterically. I will miss her forever.

I had the pleasure of meeing Katrina at Wa Toy restaurant in Goffstown NH when she was here visting. She was a wonderful person and will be missed dearly by many that knew her. My thoughts and prayers go out to Janet, Fred,her family and friends. Donna (Clete's wife) from NH.
