Theresa Wagner Obituary

Theresa "Tess" Wagner, 76, of Belgrade passed away Friday, Nov. 11, 2011.

Tess was born May 27, 1935, in Belcourt, N.D., to John and Ida (Richard) Schimetz. She attended school in Bozeman, graduating from Holy Rosary High School. She then met Clayton A. Wagner, and the two were married on June 15, 1953, in Lolo, Mont.

Tess was the first female bailiff in Montana before working as an LPN and a seamstress. She was active in Catholic adult classes and spent time as an election judge. She enjoyed sewing, reading, bingo, puzzles and crocheting. Above all else, she loved her family, particularly spoiling her grandkids and great-grandkids.

Survivors include her husband, Clayton Albert Wagner; daughters, Rita (Randy) Foster, Sam (Jeff) Svejkovsky and Rose (Dennis) Duperry; son, Tony (Pam) Wagner; sisters, Shirley, Pat (Ike), Sharon (Dale), Helen (Rawley) and Jon-Marea (Dan); brothers, David (Brenda), Frank (Leah) and Ray (Sheri); four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Vi and Ruthie; brother-in-law, John; and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Tess was preceded in death by her grandson, Shane; brother, Bob; and her parents.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 14, 2011, at Dokken-Nelson Sunset Chapel.
