November 16, 1932 - March 29, 2022
Bradenton, Florida - Harry Pincus died March 29, 2022, at the age of 89. He was born November 16, 1932 in Abescon, NJ to Alexander Pincus and Catherine Powers Pincus, predeceased. In Abescon, NJ, he worked with his family on a farm where they raised pigs and turkeys. He graduated from Pleasantville High School in 1950 and soon joined the US Navy, spending 4 years there. Upon being honorably discharged he moved to Oneco, FL where his parents had relocated. He was a practicing Catholic, and attended Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church.
In 1958 he married his wife, Wanda, and had 2 children.
He worked at Bradenton Auto Parts for 15 years prior to opening his own business in 1971, Harry's Auto Supply and Machine Shop. In 1994 he sold the business to his kids.
After retirement they bought a motorhome and traveled all across the US and Canada. He volunteered for several years at St. Vincent De Paul Thrift Store and made some lasting friendships.
Harry was always one for a good joke or just making you laugh. He loved his afternoon cocktail of Canadian Mist and water.
Harry leaves behind his beloved wife, Wanda of 63 years; daughter, Debbie Brinn (Jim); son, David; daughter-in-law, Karen; 4 grandchildren; Jason Brinn, Chris Brinn (Maria), Anthony Pincus (Jenna), and Nicole Apostle (Zach), and 5 great-grandchildren; Maddie Pincus, Avery Pincus, Drew Apostle, JJ Brinn, and Connor Brinn, who were the love of his life. Family meant everything to him and he cherished all the times they came over and spent time with him.
He also leaves 1 brother, Albert Pincus of Tabernacle, NJ; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as special friends; Walter Cottle and Maddie Cottle.
As per his request, in lieu of flowers please donate to Tidewell Hospice, Meals on Wheels, St. Vincent De Paul and Loving Hands Ministry.
Visitation is 6PM-8PM April 5th, 2022. Service is 11AM April 6th, 2022 at Griffith-Cline Funeral Home, 720 Manatee Avenue West. Interment to follow at Manasota Memorial Cemetery.

It was a pleasure knowing Harry. He was an honest and caring business man and I respected him and Wanda a lot. I started in the automotive business many years ago when it wasn't common for women to be in that environment. Though Harry didn't know it, it was in part how he and Wanda related to me, and having their son Dave learning the business at that time that gave me a boost of confidence.
So thank you Harry and Wanda, my heart goes out to you and the family. God bless you all.

Harry was one of the nicest and most honest and welcoming person I have ever met.
He made me feel like I was a family member the first time I met him.
I had hoped to spend more time with him and Wanda, but Covid and health issues got in the way.

Harry was a great man. Always making you laugh and smile. A pillar in the community and he will be sadly missed.
