Michael Gostomski Obituary

Michael T. 'Gus' Gostomski 51, of Bradenton, died August 24, 2005. Born on February 28, 1954 in Dunkirk, N.Y., he moved to Bradenton in 1970 from Forestville, N.Y. He was a graduate of Manatee High School, MCC with an AA degree, and Florida State Uni-versity with a Bachelor's De-gree. He was a high school substi-tute teacher, a coach for the Babe Ruth League in Manatee and a statistician for the Pittsburgh Pirates and Manatee County Softball League. Michael was predeceased by his parents, Dominic & Irene Gostomski, and a brother-in-law, James R. McMahon. Survivors include; his sister, Phyllis McMahon of Anna Maria; his brother, Dominic A. Jr. (Nancy) of Bradenton; niece, Lisa Brown of Knoxville, Tenn.; nephew, Terry Gostomski of Warrensburg, Mo. A gathering of family and friends will be 5-7p.m., Tuesday, August 30th at Brown & Sons Funeral Homes 26th St. Chapel, 5624 26th St. West, Bradenton. Memorial donations may be made to McKnight Brain Insti-tute, Human Brain Tissue Bank, University of Florida, P.O. Box 100015, Gainesville, FL 32610-0015.
