Gail Miller

Gail Castonguay Miller, age 88, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, after a brief illness on October 31, 2023. She was a wonderful loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Her family was her greatest pleasure and brought her much Joy. She loved having family and friends visit her in Westbrook. Born in Island Pond Vermont, She was the daughter of Gerard and Mary (O'Leary) Castonguay. She moved to Bristol Connecticut and attended Bristol schools. In 1992 she moved to Westbrook Connecticut. She owned crafts by the Farmers daughter with her sister, Gay. She worked at Michaels Jewelers in Bristol. Gail is survived by her brother Gerard, Castonguay, her children, Dawn Shanahan, Michael Miller, and his wife, Isabelle, and Gregg Miller. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kyle Ross, Molly Brooke, and her husband David, Brian Shanahan, Stephanie Treaster, and her husband Brody, Ericka Miller and her partner, Steffi, Marc Miller, and his wife, Alexis, as well as her great-grandchildren, Carter, Shiloh, and Owin. She was predeceased by her husband, Frederick Walter Miller Jr., her son, Frederick Miller III, and her sisters, Ann Testa and Gay Ritter. Gail will be remembered for her kindness, friendship, and her unconditional love for her family and friends. She will be deeply missed. A mass in celebration of Gail's life will be held on her birthday, November 13, 2023 at St. Gregory's Church in Bristol, Connecticut.
