David Aguirre Obituary
David "Jacob" Aguirre, 45, entered into eternal rest with the Lord on Friday, Feb. 22, 2008, at Valley Baptist Medical Center-Brownsville.
His daughter, Vanessa Marie Aguirre; and his father, Francisco Aguirre, preceded him in death.
David was born in Brownsville and was raised both in California and Brownsville. He was the manager-chief engineer at the Holiday Inn formerly The Sheraton for the past 16 years.
Left to mourn his death and forever cherish his memory is his loving family: mother, Maria J. Aguirre; three children, David Aguirre Jr., Jacob Aguirre and Debbie D. (Abel) Perez; three grandchildren, Abel Jr., Dessiree and Aliah Perez; siblings, Olivia (Luis) Guerrero, Francisco (Christine) Aguirre and Minerva Aguirre H.C. all of Brownsville, Gracie (Higinio) Ozuna of Bakersfield, Calif., Benito (Diana) Aguirre of Arlington, Texas, Liliana Molina, Eloy F. Aguirre, Javier Aguirre and Norma Rodriguez all of Brownsville; his ex-wife, Alicia Aguirre; nephews and nieces, Elizabeth (Donald) Sjostrom, Cindy (John) Brink, Sheryln (Hector) Zamora, Michael (Nataly) Schottenloher, Jeremiah Schottenloher, Cassandra, Carina Guerrero, Pricilla, Kelly, Daisy, Jasmine, Crystal and Joepi Aguirre, Frankie L. (Jessica) Hernandez, Brian J. (Daisy) Hernandez, Harold (Sandra) Hernandez and Abigail A. Carrejo, Christopher, Valerie and Miranda Ozuna, Ashley M. Aguirre, and Benito "Benny" Aguirre Jr.
Our beloved David "Jacob" will be dearly missed by all of us who so dearly loved him ... he will forever live in our hearts.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. with recitation of the holy rosary at 7 p.m. today, Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2008, at Guerra Funeral Home, "Chapel of the Arch Angels."
Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 27, 2008, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 2645 Tulipan St. Internment will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Guerra Funeral Home of Brownsville, 3955 Coffee Port Road. (956) 544-1171.
