Alice McDONALD Obituary
January 7, 2023 - Beloved wife of Thomas F. McDonald. Devoted mother of Mary Elizabeth (James) Cialfi, Thomas Eugene (Dawn) McDonald and Megan (Mary) McDonald. Cherished grandmother of Lisa, James, Kevin, Caitlin, Ryan, Matthew, and John "Jack". Dear sister of Timothy (Mary) Daly, John (Kathy) Daly and the late Elizabeth (Raymond) O'Brien, James Daly and Eileen Daly. Sister in law of Diane Daly. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the C. Mertz and Son Funeral Home, Inc., 911 Englewood Ave. Friday from 4-7 PM. All are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at the Shrine of St. John Neumann Chapel (Corner of Englewood and Belmont Aves.) Saturday at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers donations in Alice's memory to Sacred Heart Academy, 3860 Main St., Buffalo, NY 14226. Please share condolences at www.mertzfh.com

Alice is the loving sister, I never had. We shared much time around the kitchen table, birthday parties, picnics, on the phone, and travelling together. Someday, we will meet again. I am very sorry for your loss. Mr. and Mrs. McDonald were close friends with my parents Barb and Pat Roche. Many a poker club party was had and they were always there. Kindest people. I will always remember how kind Mrs. McDonald was. Sending healing thoughts to all the family in this time.
