Of Grand Island. Wife of 55 years of Paul C. Bassette. Mother of Timothy (Jennifer) Bassette and Sharon (Mark) Wu. Grandmother of Brandon and Ethan Wu. Daughter of the late Alton and Gertrude Carpenter. Cousin of Edward (Mary) Adams. Friends may call Friday January 19 4-7 PM at the Kaiser Funeral Home 1950 Whitehaven Rd., Grand Island. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Recovery International or St. Timothy Lutheran Church where funeral services will be held Saturday January 20 at 10 AM. WE WOULD LIKE TO EXTEND OUR DEEPEST SYMPATHY IN THE LOSS OF A DEAR FRIEND AND LEADER. SHE WAS A SPECIAL PERSON. JUDY WAS A MENTAL HEALTH LEADER OF RECOVERY INTERNATIONAL. SHE LED A MEETING EVERY TUESDAY AT 7PM AT TRINITY UNITED METHODIST CHURCH IN GRAND ISLAND FOR MANY YEARS. SHE WAS ALSO PUBLICITY CHAIRPERSON FOR RECOVERY. SHE WAS ABLE TO GET THE MEETINGS PUT INTO THE SATURDAY BUFFALO NEWS THAT BROUGHT MORE PEOPLE NEEDING HELP. WE WILL MISS HER.
