November 18, 2020. Beloved husband of Bonnie Zimmerman; dear brother of James K. (Frances) of Gig Harbor, WA and Gregory W. Haberstro of Plattsburgh, NY; brother-in-law of Beth A. Zimmerman; loving uncle of Ian J., Elizabeth, William J., John W., Adam M., Katherine G., Christopher M. and Matthew S.; also survived by great nieces and nephews. Memorial Services will be held at a time and date to be announced. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Philip's memory to the Wellness Institute of Greater Buffalo and WNY at www.creatinghealthycommunities.org. Arrangements by the C. I think of Phil often when the song " Boys of Fall" plays by Kenny Chesney on Alexa. He was a great competitor on our O´Hara football and a team leader. His life was a reflection of that same winning spirit and each time we met through the years it was an inspiring conversation. Of course I think of Jim as well my classmate and friend, and the family. My friendship and strong memories were like most who Phil knew. God bless the entire family in their loving memories.

I'm so sorry to hear about Phil. We worked together on many wellness projects and he was a force of nature when it came to wellness. Always had a kind word and a big heart. My condolences to his entire family.

My deepest condolences to Bonnie and entire family. Phil has left a legacy of creating health warriors around our country and it was an amazing privilege to work with him. He ran with endurance to establish public policy initiatives- to numerous to mention- that improved the health and well-being of many. Rest in Peace my dear friend and mentor.

I am so sorry to hear the news. My father (Norm) always spoke so highly of Phil. They were involved in many projects together. Whenever my husband (Mark) & I spoke with him, he was always so gracious & supportive to our family. Again, we send our condolences.

Growing up I spent a good deal of time with Phil and Jim Habestro at the Belmont YMCA in the Town of Tonawanda. Phil was several years older than me and someone I always looked up to. As i remember him at the "Y", he was THE guy. I am so sorry to learn of his passing. My sincere condolences to his family and loved ones. RIP Phil. We are ONE in Christ!

Our thoughts go out to the family and friends. Phil was a constant source of encouragement and strength for the community at large and for all that knew him. He lived a special and meaningful life of commitment to others. As a member of his high school football team his spirit and winning ways we´re evident even then. Rest In Peace.
