Rose BURNS Obituary

BURNS - Rose Mary (nee Bonvissuto) March 28, 2017, at age 95 (two months shy of her 96th birthday May 27), wife of the late Marvin "Cotton" Burns; beloved mother of Patricia (Jerome) Beris, Robert (Lyn) Burns, Allen (MaryJo) Burns and Bryan (Kathleen) Burns; grandmother of Eric (Robyn), Sean, Jaclyn, Justin, Kelly Rose and Ryan; great-grandmother of Emalani Rose and Easton; daughter of the late Samuel and Ida M. (Tortorice) Bonvissuto; sister of the late Josephine (William) Gohr, Angelo (Patricia) Bonvissuto and Anna Climenhaga; also survived by several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church (Harris Hill), Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Clarence Senior Center. Rose was a member and volunteer of the Clarence Senior Center for over 30 years. She volunteered in the office for many years and was the "best bingo card caller in the world" at the Center. She was awarded the President's Call to Service Award several times. Mrs. Burns was also a member of the Women's Auxiliary of the Harris Hill Fire Company. Mrs. Burns always said she had the best family and loved to travel and be with them.
