Dear Henke family,
I offer you my sincere sympathy on the demise of your Mom and Dad. Through the many past years my time spent with Bill and Carol was limited due to miles of seperation. I can say that every visit was filled with wonderful memories. Bud Schneider second cousin of Bill. Erie Pa & Largo Fl

In the name of Jesus and in the memory of his faithful servant, William.
Over forty years ago, Bill came to my home and introduced himself. It amazed me that almost everyone of the members of the congregation knew of Bill Henke. From that moment to his passing, he was truly a treasured layperson in the Lutheran Church. Almost at every convention, Bill would be there. His kind of insurance man is now a thing of the past. I pray the power of the Holy Spirit upon Bill's family and thank the Lord for Bill faithfulness in life of the Christian Church.
May Bill's memory become an example of faithfulness amongst those who claim Jesus Christ as Savior.

To the family of Bill Henke
Please accept our Sincere Sympathy in the loss of Bill. He was our Insurance Agent for many years before we moved to Chautauqua Cty. He and my husband Bill were quite often mistaken for each other as my husband was in Real Estate and Bill in Insurance. The names though spelled differently sounded the same.

Bill: My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. I fondly remember our Luther League Retreat weekends where Mr. Henke and my dad, Jim Bakos, would be searching the grounds with flashlights to chase all of us back into our cabins at night. May the Lord grant your family comfort and peace.

Dear Children of Cousins Bill and Carol,
I am so sadden to read that our Aunt Elizabeth Henke (Tante's) precious son passed Wednesday, and even more shocked to learn of your Mom's passing on December 17th. I am so grateful and thankful that I had the time in Buffalo area to visit with Bill last August at Greenfield. (Cheryl, you took your Mom to a doctor's appointment, so I was not able to see her) Bill's smile and sense of humor and delightful memories of MY mother, Mildred (Wuest), and MY sister, Darlyne, along with my brother Buddy (Schneider) visiting on his Mom's farm on Schwartz Road in Lancaster gave us lots of laughs together. I will so miss my occasional phone calls to Carol, too. How proud she was to report to me all your (her kids) accomplishments and the wonderful events the next generation of Henke's were achieving, too. How proud Bill and Carol were of their children and their children's children! I was blessed having Bill and Carol as loving family cousins, knowing them ALL of their wonderful married lives, because, at their wedding I was their Little Flower Girl. May YOUR memories give you healing and KNOW they both are at Peace. Love and Light, Ronette Schneider Snyder, Brooksville, Florida

So very sorry to hear of Bill's passing; we have many fond memories of Bill including the solo he sang at our wedding 50 years ago at Town Line Lutheran. Like so many others I still carry the Lutheran Brotherhood policy Bill wisely advised me to purchase many years ago. He had a huge presence in many, many lives. Rest in peace Bill!

Please accept our most heartfelt sympathies over the loss of dear Bill. He was a good friend to our family over many, many years.
