George Diamond Obituary
George H. Diamond Sr., 85, of Butler died Friday at the Butler Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
Born Dec. 13, 1920, in Oakmont, he was the son of Charles H. and Arimenta Goodwin Diamond.
He had been a self- employed contractor.
Mr. Diamond was a member of the Saxonburg Fireman's Association, and he coached Little League Baseball and Spartan football.
Surviving are his wife, Dolores Buttgereit Diamond, whom he married on Oct. 14, 1950; a daughter, Monica Perry and her husband, Shan, of Butler; three sons, George H. Jr. and Thomas J. Diamond, both of Butler, and Charles "Chris" Diamond of Slippery Rock; a brother, Richard G. Diamond of Youngstown, Ohio; two grandchildren, Chelsea and Zane; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two stepbrothers and a stepsister.
DIAMOND — Friends of George H. Diamond, who died Friday, Aug. 18, 2006, will be received from 10 to 11 a. m. Monday at the Fox Funeral Home, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jason Hoerth officiating. Burial will follow at St. Luke Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the Rainbow Rescue League.
