Richard Vandame Obituary
Richard A. Vandame, 78, of Cabot died Sunday at the Alle-Kiski Medical Center, Allegheny Valley.
Born in Springdale on Nov. 8, 1925, he was the son of Richard M. and Emma Boulvin Vandame.
He was a chemist for Armstrong Cement, retiring after 50 years. He served in the Army Air Force as an aviation cadet during World War II.
Mr. Vandame was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Cabot, Knights of Columbus of Butler and the R.C. Men's Club in Herman. He was a former Winfield Township supervisor.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Krzeminski Vandame, whom he married July 16, 1949. Also surviving are two sons, Richard A. Vandame Jr. of Cabot and Scott V. Vandame of Laurel, Md.; two daughters, Mrs. Daryl (Deborah) Townsend of Butler and Mrs. Kent (Susan) Hall of Chesapeake, Va.; five grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.
VANDAME - Friends of Richard A. Vandame, who died Sunday, Oct. 24, 2004, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at FOX FUNERAL HOME, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. John Getsy, O.F.M. Cap., officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Airy Cemetery in Natrona Heights.

Aunt Helen and family,
So sad to hear of Uncle Dick's passing, yet so glad to know that he is no longer suffering. I am just ever thankful for time I got to spend with him. My prayers and my heart go out to you and the rest of my extended family.
