James Hudspeth Obituary

James Royal 'Roy' Hudspeth IICorpus Christi, TXJames Royal (Roy) Hudspeth II passed away on May 26, 2016, in Flower Mound, Texas. Roy was born in San Angelo on October 27, 1937, and spent his first few years on his father's ranch in Crockett County. He attended schools in San Angelo, graduated from high school at Texas Military Institute in San Antonio, and College at Texas Western (now UTEP) in El Paso. He went on to receive his Doctorate degree from the University of Texas Law School. He retired as First Assistance District Attorney in Corpus Christi, Texas. Roy was preceded in death by his father, Claude B. Hudspeth Jr., of Crockett County, his mother, Allene Nibling Hudspeth, of San Angelo, and his wife, Jane Fjerstad Hudspeth of Pipestone, MN. He is survived by his brother, Claude B. Hudspeth III, his sister, Mary A. Hudspeth, his daughter, Lisa Hudspeth Eversole and her husband, Wes Eversole, his son, Jimmy Hudspeth and wife, Shirley, and three grandchildren: Kaylen Eversole, Lance Hudspeth, and Colton Hudspeth. He will be laid to rest at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton, Texas.
