Jesus Aguirre Obituary
AGUIRRE Corpus Christi, TexasJesus "Jesse" Efrain Aguirre, age, 79, went to eternal rest on September 10, 2012. He was born in Karnes City, Texas on May 22, 1933 to Francisco and Carolina G. Aguirre. Jesse was very proud of his service in the United States Army and United States Marine Corps. Cpl. Aguirre served in the United States Army from 1950-1954, in which time he served in the Korean War in 1951-1953. While in the U.S. Army he graduated 1st class in Culinary School, became a Master Jumper in the 82nd Airborne. Cpl. Aguirre was honorably discharged in January 1954. After serving in the United States Army, Cpl. Aguirre then enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, September 22, 1955 which he proudly served until being honorably discharged in 1958. Jesse or "Jay" as his friends referred to him was well known and respected among family and friends. Jay took residence in Corpus Christi in 1958, where he spent the remainder of his life. Throughout his life he attained titles of Journeyman plumber, Boiler Maker, 1st Class Fitter, welder, and Master Plumber. Of all titles he attained, none were greater than a loving son, brother, uncle, grandfather, beloved father and faithful friend. Jesse never short a task, was always there to help someone in need.He is preceded in death by his parents Francisco and Carolina G. Aguirre, his brothers Gustavo, Francisco II and Eliu Aguirre and sister Lilly Espinoza.He is survived by his sisters Rebecca (Patricio) Rodriguez of San Angelo, Texas, Velia Moran of San Antonio, Texas, brothers; Arnulfo Aguirre of San Antonio Texas, Armando (Grace) Aguirre of Kenedy Texas. He is also survived by his loving daughters Cynthia Ann Aguirre-Naranjo (Jimmy); Sandie (Freddy) Callejo, Gloria Reyes; and sons, Jesse E. Aguirre Jr., Larry (Tina) Aguirre, Ronnie (Betty) Aguirre and Armando Aguirre, 17 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 50 neices and nephews that he was very fond of, and many special friends.The Aguirre Family would like to give a heartfelt thanks to the Angel Bright Hospice staff for the loving care they provided to Mr. Aguirre, Robert, Susanna, Tabitha, Vikki, Chakka, Elena, Estella, Norma, Esther, Delinda, Leon, Rosie, Dori, Diane, Martha and Dr. Piner.As Jay would say (appropriately) "Siyanora", "I Guarantee it". He will be greatly missed by all his family and many friends.Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m., Saturday, September 15, 2012 at Guardian funeral home chapel A and Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. with Military Honors to follow.
