Joseph Adkins Obituary

Joseph A. Adkins
age 46, of Massillon, died unexpectedly Saturday morning, Oct. 22, 2011 in a car accident. Born May 5, 1965, Joe graduated from Washington High School and was currently employed at Trax and previously in the rental business. Joe loved spending time with his children and grandchildren and loved fishing and the holidays.
He is preceded in death by his father, John P. Adkins Sr.; father-in-law, Michael Hill; grandmother, Minnie Rudy and nephew, Jeremy Shield. He is survived by his wife, Laura Adkins; children, Nicole, Steven, Aaron, Daniel, Joshua and Hallie; grandchildren, Gavin and Owen; mother, Daisy (Rudy) Adkins; sisters and brothers, Edna, Jolene, Beverly, John and Ray; in-laws, Arleen and Michael McCormick and aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Joe had a big heart and will be sadly missed.
Funeral service will be conducted Friday at 1 p.m. in the Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel with Rev. Mark Paul officiating. Interment will be in Brookfield Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Thursday evening from 6-9 p.m. in the funeral home.
