Sally Ann DeMario
passed away May 24 at the age of 82. Sally was the only child of Anna Koch Groves and Louis Koch. Sally married Frank DeMario in 1956. Sally was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She graduated from Lehman High School.
Sally was preceded in death by husband Frank in July 2016. She is also preceded in death by brothers-in-law Joe, William, Phillip, Vincent, and sisters-in-law, Antoinette, Ila, Betty, and Mary. Sally is survived by daughters and sons-in-law Cindy and Jon Lindsey, Lori and Pat Longenecker, and Lynn and James Gastin. Granddaughters Jamie Hurlock, Nicole Lindsey, Megan Lindsey, and Kendra Gastin. Great-grandsons Jayden and Jared Hurlock. Sister-in-law Dolly DeMario and many nieces and nephews.
Sally had an ornery streak and sense of humor until the end that endeared her to all who knew her. Sally enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her family and cherished her daughters and grandchildren. Sally faced her journey with Alzheimer's with strength, independence, and humor. She is finally at peace. The family would like to thank her caregivers from Home Instead, Country Lawn and Aultman Compassionate Care Center for their kindness and care.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Aultman Hospice/Compassionate Care Center 2821 Woodlawn Ave. NW, Canton, OH 44718. Family and friends will be received on Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church with a Mass of Christian burial to follow at 10 a.m., Rev. Fr. Donald King celebrant. A private entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
