Craig White Obituary

Craig Thomas White, 44, of Arnold and originally from the Greenfield community of Pittsburgh, PA, joined his parents, Charles and Mary Louise White, in heaven on July 29, 2015 after a brave battle with melanoma. Family was everything to Craig. He will forever be the hero of his three beautiful daughters Cameron, Caitlyn and Cara and his wife Cindi. He will continue to inspire his surviving brother Chuck (and Judy) White, sister Colleen (and Hugh) Spafford, sister Chrissy (and Jeff) King, and twin brother Carey (and Kristy) White, nieces and nephews Danny, Amanda, Brian, Kevin, Eric, Zach, Tyler, Brett, Garett, Bailey, Ryan, Sean, and the thousands of family members, friends, coworkers, students and players whose lives he touched. Craig was part of the Old Mill High school family as a Teacher, Coach, and Athletic Director for more than 20 years where he formed close bonds with an abundance of teachers, administrators, coaches, players, students and parents and was beloved by the entire community. He loved coaching basketball both at Old Mill and his daughters' teams at St. John the Evangelist, spending simple times with family cheering on the Steelers, and cheering on his daughters at sports, gymnastics, and dance. Family and friends may visit on Monday, August 3, 2015 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy, in Severna Park. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at 10:00 am in St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 689 Ritchie Hwy, in Severna Park, with interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Saint John the Evangelist Capital Campaign, 689 Ritchie Hwy., or Old Mill High School Boosters, 600 Patriot Ln., Millersville, MD 21108 in Craig's name to continue to fund the sports programs he adored.

Cindi you the girls & your family are in my prayers. God made Craig to be perfect for you & you alone. God missed his angel & called him home with him. When you feel a gentle breeze on your cheek that is Craig leaning over to kiss you. When you hear Cara talking while playing by herself know that he has come to check on his little girls. The pain may to hard to bare but God will take it away with each passing day. Know that you have extended "family" who love you & the girls that will be there for you.

Words cannot express the sadness I feel knowing of Graig's passing. He was a wonderful, thoughtful person who brought a great deal of knowledge, honor and pride to Old Mill and the girls basketball program. Having Graig as a fellow coach will always be a special part of my life. Graig spent his life helping and serving others, he will always be in my heart and mind. Peace be with you my friend.
