On behalf of me and my family, Heartfelt Condolences to You, Earnie's Family and dearest friends!

Earnie is an important part of the fabric of my childhood on Clay St. He was an older gentle spirit who always had time to talk to the younguns coming up behind him! I have always wanted to sing and remember talking to him about wanting how to get started because I was so inspired by his voice and the group he sang with, Street Corner Symphony! I loved hearing their sweet blend and watching their cool steps!

I also remember when the heavier Earnie I knew, became thinner and thinner. He'd discovered the power of fasting and as a chubby kid myself, I wanted to know all about it! I can thank Earnie for being one of the first persons to bring nutrition and the power of self control and cleansing into my reality!

Dick Gregory was an important inspiration in Earnie's life in those days and I remember thinking of Earnie the first time I heard the fired up Mr. Gregory for myself on my college campus. It had been a while since I'd seen Earnie, but hist inspiration stuck with me and it was then that I understood Earnie's embrace of the iconic Dick Gregory and his mission!

Earnie was a Mr. Gregory for me! A lot more soft spoken perhaps, but Earnie is a prime example of that which is special about the ol' neighborhood!
This is what will live on in me now that Earnest has made his transition!

God Bless and Keep you All!
Sincerely,
Scotti
