Loretta March Obituary

Loretta Ann "Susie" March passed peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at the Baltimore Washington Medical Center on August 23, 2023. Her cause of death was respiratory failure due to scoliosis. Susie was born in Hyattsville, Maryland on February 9th, 1944, to James and Loretta McCusker (Krumm). Susie had a 10-year career as an administrative assistant in the Federal Government, primarily with the Public Health Service. She also worked for many years as a preschool teacher at multiple local childcare centers such as La Petite, Creative Gardens and Busy Bee. Susie was predeceased by her parents and her beloved sister Marcia Theoharis. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Stan and three wonderful, fantastic, and extraordinary children and their equally wonderful spouses; Kimberly Ann Penrose (Nathan) of Wilmington, North Carolina, John Christopher Benam (Angela) of Baltimore and Joseph Stanley March (Theresa) of Columbia. Susie was blessed with six grandchildren, Kyle, Noah, Benjamin, Layna, Landon, and Olivia, numerous relatives including three special nieces Nicole, Stacy and Elizabeth. Susie was married to John Spoerer from 1970 to 1975. She made many long-time friends of neighbors, in-laws and co-workers. A celebration of her life will be held at the Beall Funeral, 6512 Rt. 3 South, Bowie MD on August 30th from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM in her memory.
