David Taylor Obituary

David H Taylor lll, 60, died unexpectedly June 9, 2023, at Carroll Hospital Center. Born February 19, 1963 in Westminster, he was the son of Suzanne Lussier-Jones (husband Ronald) of Parsonsburg, MD and the late David H. Taylor Jr. He is survived by his loving wife, Kimberly A. Taylor, whom he married October 19, 2002, his son David H. Taylor IV, Westminster, MD; stepsons Tyler Bollinger, Westminster, MD and Tanner (wife Rachel) Poore, Edgewater, MD, siblings; Debbie (husband David) Meagher, Apex, NC and Tamie (preceded by Gregory) Maier, Westminster, MD. David was an avid boater and water skier who loved spending time outdoors with family and friends, and would make those around him laugh with his uncanny ability to point out the absurdities in life. Beginning at a very young age, it was apparent that he had a gift for excavating, designing, and building homes, and this would ultimately become his calling in life. His specialty was high-end kitchens and many of the people in his life would become the beneficiaries of this talent. He graduated from Westminster High School in 1981. During the 80s, David lived in Huntington Beach, CA where he started his own business, LeakProof, Inc., and surfed while enjoying southern California weather for the next 15 years. He returned to the East Coast in 1998 to continue his pursuit and love for building, as well as to find his soul mate and soon-to-be wife, Kim. A year later Kim gave birth to their son, David IV. Most summer weekends would find them spending time in Rock Hall boating, eating crabs, and relaxing with family - which was by far his favorite pastime. Even most recently, he would work in Ocean City remodeling homes all week and then spending his cherished free time with his family at home in Westminster. Surviving family members; Step-siblings, Roni Lynn (Patrick) McCarthy, Reisterstown MD, Jeff (Lori) Jones, Parsonsburg, MD Michael (Lisa) Jones, New Port Richey FL, Mother-in-law Brenda Cunningham, Westminster MD & Father-in-law the late Leroy Bollinger. Brother & Sister-in-law David &Millissa Bollinger, Westminster MD. Four nieces - Megan (Brian) Bosmans, Morgan Maier, Chase Meagher, Alisha (Matt) Brauning, Two nephews - Miles Meagher and David (Brittany) Bollinger. Great Nephews- Hunter & Cameron Bosmans, Wyatt Brauning. Great Nieces- Hayley Bollinger & Macie Brauning. A celebration of life service will be held on June 24, 2023 from 4:00 – 6:00 P.M, with a memorial service beginning at 5:30 P.M at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St, Westminster, MD 21157. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lustgarten Foundation at lustgarten.org.
