Joseph Schissler Obituary
With great heartache our son, brother, friend, and most importantly father Joseph (Josh) Albert Schissler passed away suddenly on November 27th in Morgan Hill, CA. Josh is the son of Leona (Long) and the late John J. Schissler, Jr. He is survived by children Daniel, Kathryn, Luke, Laura and former wife Deborah Schissler and siblings (in-laws) John (Joan), Anne Marie, Paul (Sue), Jim, Mark (Debbie), Betty (Eric), Francis, Mary (Ty), Clara (Terry), Ray (Kathi), and Rosalie (Demian). Josh graduated from John Carroll High School in Bel Air, MD and Northeastern University with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. Josh worked in sales and business development for a number of emerging electronic companies in Boston. With a lifelong love of animals and the outdoors, Josh was an active member of the Northeastern University Outing Club as well as service in youth sports programs, scouting organizations and participation in harvesting at Satori Cellars winery, avid competitive volleyball player, and volunteering for the American Red Cross. A memorial mass is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. on December 15th at St. John Catholic Church in Westminster, MD. A reception for family and friends will follow in the church hall. I'm sorry to hear about Josh's passing. I was really taken aback. We played in the same volleyball league & Josh always brought his energy & smile. He'll be missed.
