Kathryn George Obituary

Kathryn Mae "Miss Kitty" George, 79, of Westminster, died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2012, at Longview Nursing Home.

Born Jan. 14, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Harold R. Furbay and Evelyn Wilson Furbay. She was the wife of Charles David George, who died Jan. 16, 2005.

Before retiring she was an aide for Home Call and was a school bus aide for Lawrence Schaeffer Bus Service.

Surviving are son and daughter-in-law Glenn and Lori George, of Westminster; brothers Donald, Ronald, James, Robert and Clyde Furbay; sisters Carole Benton, Joan Jones, Bonnie Bichell and Linda McCullough; grandchildren Sherrie and Andrew George, of Westminster; and four great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by sons Carl David and Charles Steven George; and brothers Wayne and David Furbay.

The family will receive friends from noon until the time of service, 1 p.m. Saturday, at Fletcher Funeral and Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster, with the Rev. Richard Shamer officiating. Interment will be private.

Memorial contributions may be sent to Longview Nursing Home, 3332 Main St., Manchester, MD 21102.
