L. Wehler Obituary
L. Jamie Wehler, 68, of Westminster, died Sunday, November 1, 2015, at Carroll Hospice Dove House. Born September 10, 1947 in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of Harriet and Sidney Leopold, sister of Linda R. Leopold and wife of C. Michael Wehler all of whom are deceased. She was a graduate of Frederick High School and received a degree from College of Notre Dame in Baltimore Maryland. She worked for the State of Maryland in the Carroll County Bureau of Support Enforcement for 32 years. After retirement she worked for Carroll Hospital Center in the emergency department, and later became a certified pharmacy technician and worked for the Safeway Pharmacy. Surviving are son Geoffrey E. Wehler and fiance Heather Valentine; sister Marybeth Leopold, all of Westminster; grandchildren Ryan N. and Hanna C.Wehler. There will be no public visitation. Internment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Carroll Hospice Dove House, 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster MD 21157

My heart breaks for Jamie's family. I got to know Jamie through our mutual jobs in Westminster. She was always quick to say hello or even start up a conversation if time permitted. She always had a smile on her face, even on a gloomy day. I was just thinking of her the other day and wondering why I had not seen her in awhile. Now I know. Jamie,I will miss your smile and crazy joy. I know you will keep God and all His angels laughing.
May God bless each of you, family and frineds, and give you comfort. He has gained one heck of an angel.

Please accept my deepest sympathy. I knew Jamie many years. My ex- husband and Mike worked together at Wheeler's a long time ago. We had many laughs at the holiday parties and then later I met Jamie again when I went to work at ccdss. She was a kind and caring person who will be missed.
