Louise Clark

Louise P. Clark, born Lila Louise Phipps, (84), passed away on 12/18/2023 peacefully after her multiple decade journey with Parkinson Disease. She had an amazingly fierce life force which meant that she was always on the move right up to the end. Louise is survived by her two brothers; Claude Phipps (Connie Philleo) and Peter Phipps (Odile Mattiauda), her three children; Malcolm D Alexander, E. Michelle Hughes (Brian Hughes) and Paul D Alexander, her 6 grandchildren; Emma, Samantha, Malcolm, Savanah, Mason and Myles and 1 great grandchild; Aiden. Throughout Louise's life she was dedicated to enriching children's lives. After college she worked as a teacher in New Jersey and in the Peace Corp in Nigeria. Later in life she moved into early childhood education which morphed into providing training on early childhood brain development and outdoor education at Grandpa Oaks. Another one of her loves was nature. She was always following her dream whether that dream was to be a farmer in Pennsylvania, have a wetlands where she manually dug out a pond or had to chase her bridges after a heavy rain. And who can forget the Labyrinth that she envisioned and built at her Grandpa Oaks property. Even after moving to Fairhaven, she would work on clearing the walking paths and hosted nature hikes on the Fairhaven trails. Louise's family will receive friends on Sunday, January 14, 2024, at Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster, from 1 to 2 pm during which all visitors are welcome to experience a labyrinth set up in her honor. At 2 pm, a Celebration of Louise's life will begin.
