Virginia "Jenny" Yowell

On February 2, 2019, Virginia (Jenny) Lee Yowell (nee Martins), beloved wife of Louis A. Yowell, Jr., passed away at her home in Manchester, Maryland. Born January 27, 1947, Jenny was the daughter of the late Alfred T. Martins, Sr. and Eleanor C. Price-Martins. She was the devoted mother of the late D. Richard Wetzel (Alice), Lisa Crabbs, Louis Yowell, III (Teresa), Gina Green (Frank), Christopher Yowell (Kristi), and Diamond Yowell; cherished grandmother of Derrick Wetzel, the late Ashley Wetzel, Shawn McClintic (Toni Jo), Louis Yowell, IV (Nicole), Kristin Turansky, Sarah Turansky, Katelyn Yowell, Lauren Yowell, Vincent Brunner, Kayla Green, Jeanna Green, Frankie Green, Johnathon Yowell, and Camden Yowell; and adored great-grandmother of Dominic Wetzel, Caleb Wetzel, Thomas McClintic, Matthew Schafferman, Jr., Abigail McClintic, Michael McClintic, and Lilith Silwick; and loving sister of the late Josephine McQuade (James), Alfred Martins, Jr. (Marjorie), and Irene Hansen (Richard). She is survived by many other close family members and friends. Jenny, holding certifications in hospice care, oncology, and dialysis, retired from nursing after a long career. She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, cooking, crafts, and was active in her church with bible studies, writing cards, and serving as a prayer warrior.The family will receive guests on Wednesday, February 6, 2019, from 3-5 and 7-9 pm at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD 21102, where a funeral service will be held at 10 am on Thursday, February 7, with Rev. Dr. Chris Brammer officiating.
