I knew Miss Hinton from when she lived in Charleston. We met through Republican Party activities. She was a vibrant lady who was fun to be with. She ran for Charleston County Auditor in 1984 and she went on a trip to Washington DC for President Reagan's inauguration in 1985 with other Charleston area Republicans. I was in my mid-teens at the time and she was always interested in getting more people involved.

To Miss Zilla's family... We are so sorry for your loss. Please accept our deepest sympathy during this time. Miss Zilla was very active in the community and she had such a kind heart. She and my mother were good friends. She will be missed. Love, Lisa, Jason, Heather and Ethan Parker.
