Blanche Clontz Obituary

Blanche S. Clontz
Blanche S. Clontz, 90, of Charlotte, N.C., died Monday, December 31, 2007at Lake Park Nursing Center.
She was born June 12, 1917 in Union County, N.C., a daughter of the late Jasper A. Simpson and Flonnie Mae Baucom Simpson. Blanche was a retired seamstress and previously was a sewing instructor at Central Piedmont Community College. She was a member of Eastern Hills Baptist Church.
A service in celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, January 3, 2007 in the J.B. Tallent Funeral Service Chapel, 1937 Sharon Amity Road, Charlotte with The Reverend Albert Leath and The Reverend Frank Marks, officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:30 P.M. Wednesday at J. B. Tallent.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, H. Warren Clontz; a son, Ray W. Clontz and wife Patti, of Charlotte; two grandsons, Brian Clontz and wife Laurie and Scott Clontz and wife Cathy; a brother, Lloyd W. Simpson, of Monroe, N.C., 4 great-granddaughters and 1 great grandson. Mrs. Clontz was preceded in death by her sisters, Mrs. Norman Whitley and Mrs. Tom Barbee and by a brother, Olen Lee Simpson.
Memorials may be made to Eastern Hills Baptist Church, 4855 Albemarle Road, Charlotte, N.C. 28205.
