Elaine D. Blackburn MINT HILL - Mrs. Blackburn, 84, passed away February 7, 2016. She was the daughter of the late Haywood and Katie Marie Draughn. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Bryant. She was the owner of Elaine's Cakes and Etc. of Mint Hill and taught cake decorating for 30 years. Elaine is survived by her husband of 66 years, Donald Blackburn; her daughter, Terry Blackburn Hildreth; her son, Alan Blackburn; three grandchildren, Brandon Hildreth, Faith and Katie Marie Blackburn; three great-grandchildren; and sister, Juanita Beasley of Troy, NC. The family will receive friends at Blair Road United Methodist Church in Mint Hill on Saturday, February 13, at 10AM, with a memorial service starting at 11AM. Arrangements are in the care of Heritage Funeral Home, Indian Trail Chapel. Online condolences may be expressed at www.heritagecares.com.
