Peggy and family,
I will never forget the first time Steve met John at the airport in Charlotte. We still laugh about that, and it is one of many endearing memories we have of John. One of my favorite memories from Cherry Grove is sharing a cigar with John on the balcony. I am so glad ya'll could join us for dinner at Oscar's.
I hope your strong faith, and wonderful memories of John will be a comfort to you now. John was one heck of a great guy, and will be missed by many.
We will continue to pray for you and your family.

Mrs. Wiggins and Family,
I was saddened to hear of John's passing. I worked with him for many years at Atlas Marketing. John was a unique man with a great personality and he loved his family very much. He had a way of making us all laugh, especially in stressful times. John was a natural salesman and had a way of making everyone very comfortable and treated everyone he met as a friend. He is in a great place now, but he leaves behind great memories for all of us. Our deepest sympanthy to your family.

Peggy and family,
I know that I am only one among many who is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of John. Our career paths took different routes a few years ago, as did many of those in the food brokerage community; however, among my fondest memories of the years I spent at Atlas/East Coast is the laughter created by the many expressions and antics of John. He always greeted everyone with that huge "trademark" smile, and of course, the innocent hugs were in abundance. He had a way about him that endeared him to everyone with whom he came into contact. John never met a stranger. Even a new acquaintance remained so only briefly, because before an encounter with John was over, one felt as if he had made a new friend. To know John was to love him....and what a remarkable gift he was given; certainly an unparralleled "gift of gab".
No doubt John will be sorely missed by the many friends he leaves behind and I know the sorrow that you and all of your family feel is immeasurable. I trust that you all are comforted by your many wonderful memories of an extraordinary man who loved life and lived it to the fullest. May God's grace be upon you and your loved ones during this very sad time.
Most sincerely,
Johnny Disher

To the family of John Wggins, We want to extend our warmest heartfelt sympathies to you in this time of need. We are forever indebted to John for his gallant action in his service to his country for the preservation of our freedoms. I am sure he was a mighty warrior as was he a warrior in the army for Jesus Christ. It has been a real honor being a member of your fantastic family through my mother, Edna Wiggins Howard. As our circle grows larger in the wonderful realms of glory we look forward to that time when we can once again be united in the arms of those we love. May the comfort of the HOLY SPIRIT be upon you and yours, and may the Lord bless and keep you until we meet again. All our love, Floyd and Linda
All is calm , status quo, but life speeds by under full sail
I have my memories and dreams they come and go
Like ghost cars running helter-skelter on endless rails
Then sometime quite unexpected, news flashes in;
Death has taken someone away. My senses reel
And for the longest while, I relive a part of my past.
And mixed with time, and tears sometime,
Chunks of life drift away from me.
Those times as a kid, without care and free.
I wish we could have spent more time together
You say that when it’s too late you know,
Still, with precious memories on we go
Waiting for the day we can start again.
So long John, my friend, until we meet again

It will not be the same to enter church and not have John greet me with that huge smile and a hug. What a wonderful man we have lost, but I know that he is smiling in the arms of our Lord now.
All my love and sympathies to Peggy and family.
