Maria Daly Obituary

Maria Frances Daly December 11, 1966 - May 27, 2015 CHARLOTTE - Maria, beloved daughter of Stephen and Madge Daly, died peacefully surrounded by her family at the age of 47. Maria's family would like to acknowledge her wonderful family at Howell's group home for the love and care they gave "Ria". Their care and compassion will never be forgotten. The family would also like to acknowledge the compassionate care provided by the staff at CMC Mercy. Although Maria was called "disabled" since birth, anyone who knew her knew that she accomplished more in her lifetime than most "abled" people. The doctors said Maria would never walk. Over 100 volunteers worked together to provide physical therapy for six hours a day. Maria and her community of angels proved that miracles happen and Maria walked. Maria treasured her weekends when she came home to spend time with her mom, dad and large extended family. She loved her mom's home cooking, reading magazines, watching sports with her dad and joining in family celebrations. Maria's family and friends want you to know how blessed and honored we have been to have her in our lives. She has been the heart and soul of her family and extended community. Maria is survived by her loving parents, her brothers: Sean and Michael Daly; sisters: Kim Suslick, Kerry Ludwig and Linsey Daly and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. A service in celebration of Maria's life will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2015, at 11 AM at St. Luke Catholic Church, 13700 Lawyers Rd. in Mint Hill, NC. Family will receive friends from 10-11 AM.

May God be with the Daly family and friends during this distressing time.
There will be a time very soon when Maria is raised up and the scripture is fulfilled at Isaiah 35:6 that reads "At that time the lame will leap up like the deer, And the tongue of the speechless will shout for joy."

And we will all shout with joy when it is time to greet RIA again!
With many warm condolences and prayers.

Daly family I was so saddened to hear about Maria what a blessing she was to all of us. The angels gave us songs to sing about her. I was honored to sit beside her one Sunday at the old Assumption Church in the basement and hold her hand. You are a special family chosen by the Almighty to have Maria in your family. May the Spirit of God the comforter hold you in His arms and comfort all of you when you need Him to and dry the tears from eyes. Love and prayers Deloris Stevenson

To The Daly Family,
The death of a loved one is one of the most devastating experiences a human can face. At times, the loss may seem unbearable. Mourn and grieve as you must, and do not be afraid to cry, because crying serves as an emotional release. "For everything there is an appointed time, even ... a time to weep." (Ecclesiastes 3:1,4) May memories of Maria always bring a smile to your face and comfort to your heart.

With Peace, Love & Comfort,
Ms. Flonnie Taylor
