Nathan Pate ALBEMARLE - Nathan Pate, age 81, of Albemarle, NC, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2013, at his home. His funeral will be on Monday, June 10, 2013, at 2:00 PM at Grace Baptist Church with Rev. Delane Burris officiating and burial will be in Stanly Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends at Grace Baptist Church on Monday from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM. Mr. Pate was born October 3, 1931, in Cheraw, SC, to the late James and Rosa Sweatt Pate. He retired from the U.S. Air Force with 20 years of service and was a member of Grace Baptist Church. He was hardworking, devoted to his wife and family and he was faithful to his church. He was married to Jeweline Holt Pate of the home. Other survivors are daughters, Sharon Pate and husband Paul McBroom of Charlotte, NC, Susan Stiller of Whiteville, NC; and brother Fred Pate of Cheraw, SC; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
