Nicholas "Nick" Anthony Frattini, 24, passed away Friday, November 4, 2016 at the Levine & Dixon Hospice House at Southminster after a brief illness. He was born on April 17, 1992 in Barre, Vermont, the son of Jay & Sonda Rouleau Frattini. He was a 2010 graduate of Providence High School and his quote from his yearbook was "Remember the ones that will remember you". Nick was also a 2014 graduate of the UNC Charlotte with a degree in Economics with a minor in Criminal Justice. He had a love for cars, he was an avid BMW enthusiast. He always dreamed of opening a car dealership and he did fulfill that dream by opening Carolina Luxury Autos, LLC. Nick had a great work ethic and was a hard worker, "Mr. Fix It", he could fix anything. He loved the family's mountain house, being on the lake and being at the beach. Both of these he was able to do in his last few months. Nick enjoyed boating, fishing, biking and long walks. He loved his brother Nathan Paul and enjoyed watching him play soccer.

He is predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Louis Frattini and his maternal grandfather and grandmother, Lucien and Gloria Rouleau.

Nick is survived by his parents Jay and Sonda Frattini, his brother , Nathan Paul Frattini, his long time girlfriend, Cassia Hall, aunts, Donna Poirier and husband Yves, Allison Rouleau, Rhonda Wobby and husband Charles, his uncle, William Frattini and wife Barbara, paternal grandmother, Barbara Frattini. Also surviving him are many loving and close cousins.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the Matthews United Methodist Church, 801 S Trade St, Matthews, NC 28105. A non-profit has been established in his name "The Nicholas Foundation." In lieu of flowers the family requests that contribution be made to the foundation and sent to 2317 Houston Branch Road, Charlotte, NC 28270. Arrangements are in the care of Heritage Funeral Home, Weddington Chapel, online guestbook at www.heritagecares.com

How blessed we are to have spent many fun times with Nick and his amazing family on the Lake. As the seasons change our memories evolve, but always keeping Nick tucked close to our hearts.

I met Nick through fcbk as well. The BDC page he had joined. I had joined this group in search for answers for my mom. She was diag in April 2016. My mom passed of this dreadful illness June of 2016. It hit hard. Took her in 2 months and it was relentless. I cry everyday. But Nick stuck out. His story broke my heart. Ugh I cried reading his post. As I was reading a passage on BDC this morning his story popped up again. Encouraging others to fight... His words were so beautiful. As I begin to comment, I read Im so sorry for his family... ... I scrolled up and saw his obit. Brought me to tears. As I didnt know your beautiful son personally. I wanted to share with his family how much of a positive vibe he gave to all the others suffering with this cancer. And how he truly touched my heart!!! I wish I had met him & I wish my prayers cld have saved him as I wished the same for my beautiful mother. Know you raised one hell of a kid. He was special!!!! Im so very sorry for your loss. May he rest peacefully now & watch over all of you. Im sadder today then yesterday. Didnt think that was possible

Dear Frattini Family,

I am so saddened to hear of Nick's passing and my heart aches for your loss. I "met" Nick on September 19, 2016 when he joined our FB Support Group for BDC. His story broke my heart, I couldn't believe such a young and "healthy" man had been diagnosed with this beast. Today Nick was on my mind and after seeing he was no longer a member of our support group I reluctantly searched his name on google. My heart sank when this obituary came up. I lost my mom to this monster and just can't imagine the pain of losing my child to it. I'm truly sorry that your dear family is living this nightmare. I did want to share with you the encouraging words that Nick wrote on our support group. It's a testament to the fine young man he was and I thought you would want to know that even in his darkest hours, he was supporting and encouraging others. He wrote "There's hope, purpose and good health for each one of us at the end of the tunnel. Count the good days not the bad. Keep your head up and shoulders back, smile when you don't want to. You are chosen because someone else was to weak to fight this. Don't give up, you're still breathing..." God rest his soul! And may you, his dear family and loving girlfriend find comfort in memories and strength in each other's love.

My heart aches with sadness and grief for you all. I will never forget babysitting for Nicholas or coming home from school to him in my moms care while she watched him during his younger years. I Only recently learned Nick had been ill and couldn't believe it.
