Charlotte, North Carolina - Phyllis Deloris Blue, 54, Charlotte, passed Sunday, April 25, 2021. A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 11am at Alexander Funeral Home, 1424 Statesville Ave., Charlotte, NC 28206 with a burial at Stelley's Tabernacle AME Zion Church, 161 Stelley's Tabernacle Church Road Rockingham. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 30, 2021 from 6-8pm at Alexander Funeral Home. Nelson Funeral Service of 1021 E. Washington Street, Rockingham, NC 28379 is serving the family.

We will miss ms.blue, she always made sure that my son was ok and that he made it across the street from school and she would stop by to see if we all was ok and we would buy Girl Scouts cookies from her and my son played with her grandkids, she will truly be missed

I worked with her for many years at Devonshire Elem. Blue was a great asset to our teachers and students. So many memories...We loved "Our Blue". She was always a lot of fun! Always making us laugh with her jokes and sayings. She was a devoted mother to Destiny and Chastity.
Always supporting them with school projects and other activities especially, the Girl Scout Cookies. We already miss "Our Blue".

Phyllis Blue was an amazing coworker and friend. She kept everyone laughing. She brought joy everywhere she went. She loved God and would walk around singing Gospel songs. Before she left your presence, she would say, "OK, be blessed!" Blue, you are already severely missed. Your Devonshire Elementary School Family loves you and will never forget the blessing you were to us all. I'm praying for God's peace and comfort for Tony, Destiny, Chasity, all friends and family.
